Unpopular opinion but I love the away derbies. Feels like all the City fans in our bays - active or not - get really up for it, a true us vs the world sort of atmosphere (which is typically what it feels like being a City fan in Melbourne). It's just sort of this intangible feeling you get from being isolated in our little corner, kind of like you could go up and talk to any City fan and have a really great chat. Plus giving it to the Visitor's South End is an event in it of itself.

My impression too, besides Noone, I don’t think any of our forward foreigners are going to make a massive impact - Too light and timed and then there is Berenguer.

I'm not surprised. We have a solid squad, with depth mainly coming from our youth players, but we're underdone in the marquee department, and there's not been anything in our pre-season that indicates that we're going to score freely or have a tight defence. It's too early for predictions but my current thinking is that we're a mid-table side.

WU will certainly play 3 at the back. Probably Gulum - Durante - Hamill. Pain likely to be the left sided wide player, Risdon on the right. Midfield is bang on, but they'll play two up front. Yuel has looked good but they need another striker if they're to compete for a top 4 spot. As Bela said, how City fares will largely depend on the coaching (good signs early). However I have no faith in that back 5. Jamo is trash, Galloway does nothing to excite me, Delbridge is serviceable and Windbichler is an unknown. Obviously they won't be relying on Bouzanis to save their bacon at any stage either, why they persist with the guy is anyone's guess.
