  1. Theres no better protest than not rocking up at all. Ok so we have the Serb Hair Dresser confirming but we still need the following: Indian Uber Driver (Hybrid Camry, still smells, 4.4 rating) Lady in Burka on the Sunbury Line (must have 16 kids name Mohammed, all spelt differently) Southern Italian Cafe Owner (must have photo of his hometown on a wall and drink limoncello) Unemployed Croatian in early 50's (must smoke meat in shed, extra salty) Polish Handy Man (must be extremely Catholic but hate the current pope) Washed Up Post Festival Real Estate Agent Skank (tight skirt, red lipstick, doesn't talk) Inner City Range Rover Kindy Mum (must "dream" of moving to Paris while not discipling ugly little children) Demin Dungaree Chapel Street Poofta (must sleep till 2pm, work part-time in marketing and only drink moscato with brie and coles brand water crackers). Average Joe Anglo with two first names (Works at Telstra, just married 6/10 high school Mrs, house & land package 200kms from the city, can actually watch Test Cricket) If I've missed anyone please feel free to add to the list.

  2. What really shits me is how the players talk about how ambitious this club is. What evidence is there that this is true? We have the resources and capacity to achieve great thing. Why are we so continually poor on making productive choices that serve us well? I reckon we have a sense of entlitlement and an arrogance that comes from being backed by CFG. Even the players are convinced by the prospect because they know what the potential of being backed by CFG means. Then they inevitably end up severely underwhelmed by the reality of the situation, just like the fans. Fuck Joyce. Where is CFGs balls. His appointment has been a failure. We have been poor and even by some miralce we move up the ladder we are undeserving of success this year.

  3. I have no idea what made CFG appoint Joyce. For me it has Marwood's fingerprints all over it. Joyce's style is the total opposite of the style of play the club should be playing. I hope the club gets rid of him before the derby, but it is very unlikely.

  5. Zelic: “I mean the concerning thing as well is they did switch the angle of attack on a few occasions and had the opportunity to play the ball in between the lines but they didn’t do it. So that’s concerning and that’s really somewhere where they have to find a lot more urgency and take risks, just play that ball in there.” This is what made the partnership between Novillo, Mooy and Bruno so good. Bruno weaved between defenders and Mooy was looking for that killer pass to Bruno. And Harry just barged his way past defenders and had a crack on goal. We don't have that approach under Joyce. This can be rectified but it's clearly not happening under Warren. He's had enough time to get it right. Well past his use by date.

  6. Time to flood the club with emails calling for Joyce to be stood aside. Let the assistant coaches step in and bring Bruno back into the team. My email will be sent tonight. Joyce is a one man wrecking machine but Petrillo as Director of Football should also be considering his position.

  7. Is there anyway we can bring this more in the media, can the Talking City boys ask a sports journo to come on the show?

  8. Why not? Roy Hodgson told Harry that it's lovely down here late summer, plus you can charge CFG whatever you want.

  9. According to Twitter, Harry Redknap is on his way to Melbourne City - this to review our season and address our poor performances.

  14. Interesting article in goal.com https://www.goal.com/en-au/lists/how-much-is-every-a-league-squad-worth/1r6kbryys9ueh173w63cnipcmp According to them the value of each squad is Melbourne Victory. 22.58 mill Sydney 20.66 mill Melbourne City 17.34 mill Perth. 15.5 mill Brisbane 15.03 WSW 13.8 Newcastle 12.47 Wellington 12.1 Adelaide 11.8 CCM 10.65 Makes a mockery of Victorys taunt that we will buy the championship. Also makes an interesting comment on what you can do if you spend wisely (and have the right people in charge) eg Perth and Wellington.

  15. Nice Blokes DO NOT win anything we need a genuine experienced coach to turn things around.

  18. looks like it is firstname.surname at Meb... etc Thing is, this needs to go to whoever Scott reports to at CFG. He will filter any 'bad news' - CFG need to be told how badly they are ballsing this thing up. In any event, Joyce is gone. There is no way known he can survive next season. In true club form though, we will totally stuff up the 'transition' and all how him to coach too long, then he will come up with an excuse of family etc. The club hasnt got the cajones to make a big statement. I gave this guy a chance - he has totally destroyed the fabric of the club and IMHO could have set us back years if we dont manage ourselves out of this. An unmitigated disaster on so many levels.

  19. Of course I am. What else can anyone do? I do have experience in management in a couple of large multi-site companies, and that experience suggests that City/CFG are suffering the same sort of management issues.

  20. The FRG has all the appearance of being moribund. AFAIK it has not met since February 2018. When Munn says he is aware that the club is not connecting with fans as well as it used to, and that the club is trying to do something about it, he is being more than a little disingenuous. A vehicle for communication exists, but the club does not use it. It may not be a perfect vehicle, but at least it is - or was - something.

  21. IMO there are problems at all levels - Joyce, Petrillo, Munn, Pearce and Marwood. Confused structure and poor management at all levels.

  22. Kind of in the same boat as @cadete here. Locality to Western United FC, and Melbourne City doing what they've been doing since existence is making it too tempting for myself to, at the very least, attend some home games just to see what it's like. If Melbourne City at least respected their fan base with decent investment and engagement then this may not have even been an issue, but truth be told I've only attended the Christmas derby this season, and this is my second season in a row of not having a season ticket (was a Heart foundation member etc). It's just so predictable, it's boring. The Bruno situation has probably been the final nail for me, just bewildering. Amyway, the league could do with a strong Melbourne City and I still hope it occurs but people from the 'west' now have an option that may resonate more with them.

  23. Perth Glory hire CEO Tony Pignata and sign Popovic and they're flying. The people at the top make the biggest decisions. They have to be good at hiring people that will be able to make the right personnel decisions below them. If the coach and thereby the players are not right two times in a row then questions need to be asked of the people at the top.

  25. With just 8 matches to go, the reason I would do the above - except with Birighitti in place of Galekovic - is that if we persist with what we've done recently we'll end up 5th, 6th or quite possibly 7th, and if we do play finals we'll be playing (away) either Victory, Sydney, Phoenix or Newcastle, all of whom will almost certainly tip us out in the quarters. If we roll the dice and do the above, and it fails, then we lose nothing. However, if it works we might start winning again and garner enough points to crawl into 4th and a home final. To me we've got nothing to lose by changing things around.
