  1. Everyone, I mean everyone should get to this game, and bring a friend or two, or if u can’t make it give your ticket to someone else. I haven’t missed a home game all season and I can’t wait for this one, and it would be great if we got a decent frickin crowd.

  3. Unfortunately this will be the last home game for us(me and Mrs Johnno) as we find it is just getting to the stage of not being affordable anymore along with the lack of excitement that has been hanging over us for the major part of this season . So we want to end with a good win this week, and hope that we make it to the grand final haha. If we feel like coming to a home game we will just rock up to the window and buy a ticket in GA our friends who we sit with at the moment look to be doing the same thing and for the same reasons.I will be keeping a watch on this forum for all the latest news etc, so good luck to the club ta ta for now.

  4. IMO the easiest way of setting out the qualification criteria is as follows. 1. Wellington Phoenix cannot qualify for the ACL under any circumstances. 2.1 One (direct into group) place is for the Premier. The second (direct into group) place is for the Champion. If the Champion is the same club as the Premier, then the Champion's (direct into group) place is awarded to the losing grand finalist. 2.2 The (into the play-offs for group entry) place goes to the club in the highest league position that does not qualify for either of the (direct into group) places as set out in 2.1.

  5. Yep as much as i like them they are in huge trouble and the time has probably come. I wouldnt pull the pin on them completely, but i'd def pull all financial support and leave it in their hands, IMO they should get none of the aus TV revenue or financial support, and FFNZ need to prop them up if they want to stay here. As such they'd be allowed their own tv deal in NZ and retain the money they get from that. They can be bottom of the table every year if they want, as long as they dont take FFA resources. If FFNZ pull their finger out and fund them, which imo is in NZ football's best interest, then they are more than welcome to stay here, but not at the expense of Aus football.

  6. Seems a bit off to me that the state federations are so well represented. From what i can tell they've been the chief reason FFA's hands are always so tied financially and lead the crusade of self interest.

  10. You're right, though. There's one spot for the regular season winner (i.e. Sydney), one for the runner-up and one for the GF winner. If either of the top two teams in the regular season win the GF then the third spot goes to highest league placement (i.e. third) as no team can qualify for the same tournament twice. Therefore, so long as we finish 3rd and no team below us wins the GF, we would get a place.

  11. If we win, we go straight through (Newcastle have the play-off) If Sydney or Newcastle win then we will be in a play-off spot If anyone below us (4th-6th) win the GF, then we get nothing
