  1. Its a lot more than 10. Let me tell you that. And as I said in my first post there is a stark difference between people randomly yelling racist abuse or getting in drunken fights compared to groups of upto 100 organising themselves before games to cause trouble. For me the annoying part is these people sooking after getting called out on their behaviour. If you do this don't sook when the club imposes restrictions on active or the police use tough tactics etc. Fwiw that is a larger problem in societ that not enough people are willing to take responsibility for their actions.

  2. Hmmm... Kilkenny would have been handy in that role, wouldn't he? Cahill would have been a handier sub than Delbridge Brandan would have been handy on the wing. Tongyik would be a better player with some game time, arguably better than Delbridge Carusca would be a better number 10 than no real number 10

  3. Because the problems with fans in the A-League is that their wrong doing is systematic, organised and premeditated. Fair enough it might be a few when in comparison to all the people who attend the game, but it is not a few when compared to the number of people in the active area and its usually the groups who are in control of the active ends that are responsible for the worst of the behaviour.

  4. Ironic that the players that were considered "winners" like Cahill, Brandan and Kilkenny have been shipped out. I think Wazza would prefer a team of Yes Men who toe the line compared to those who will push the boundaries to get the 3 points.

  5. Absolutely. Personally, I'm not fully convinced by Hill's arguments on that point. It's obviously a lot more than just 10 people (never having been involved in active I wouldn't really know), but thankfully the majority of A-league supporters are sensible people who want active support without the hooligan elements. Exactly. The FFA deserve a lot of criticism but I struggle to sympathise with any of those idiots.

  6. This is the thing that pisses me off the mosts. Those of our fans campaigning hardest for "FFA OUT" are the idiots who act like dick heads and get the privileges taken away.

  7. There isn’t much between Kilkenny and Bozanic - both don’t tandem up well with Brattan, which has come to light in the last two games. Shows how silly the whole situation with Kilkenny was, and more personal rather than football related. Wasted a good portion of the cap by outcasting Kilkenny and not playing him. Who knows how much we are paying for Bozanic now. I think somebody needs to make Wazza aware that this a salary capped league and he needs set his personal issues aside and make the best with the team he has as we are stuck with these players for the season. Larocca is another example.

  9. The refs in this league are awful when it comes to punishing any kind of rotational fouling, it's not unique to us. Sydney get away with it every week.

  10. My take from last night. It was probably a culmination of many factors all finally combining to produce one of our most dissapointing performances for a long time, maybe bordering on some of the beauties under Aloisi. We could have lost 1:5. They missed 2 gimmies and Bouzanis made 1 or 2 big saves and we only created 1 or 2 half chances from difficult angles. Jamos free although hit the bar I reackon their keeper was close enough to get a hand on it had it been lower. Defensively it was a shit show. At no stage did we look like we were in control and completely vulnerable. Jako held Berisha but in actual fact Berisha is half maybe the quarter of player he was and I reackon Berisha actually kept Jako out of the game. The other 3 got completely dominated and offered zero with the ball. Both goals were due to poor positioning and awareness and lack of structure. Shit at the pro level you should never see. Midfield was very average. With the ball too slow and lacking the confidence or guts to play a risky pass, instead always took the safe option. Without the ball very disjointed and confusing. Forwards had very little chances and the only times looked dangerous was when they got 1v1 but even then never in really good areas. The most disappointing thing the tards are just as shit as us and to lose to such a poor side really shows how shit we are.

  11. Ok fellas, my prediction here: We look good early but cop a goal from a random goofy defending mistake (eg. muscat touches the ball) around the 27th minute. We work our way back into it in the 2nd half and manage to get 1-1 via bruno/arzani combo (eg. look away back heel scissor kick from half way) in 60th minute. The English "Guus Hiddink" takes Bruno and Arzani off and puts on 14 defenders. We go down 2-1 the 79th minute by another brain fart penalty or VAR matrix glitch. Guus promptly replaces our CB's with more CB's and Kamau somehow ends up in goals by the final whistle. The word "unlucky" is somehow used in the presser. Mods, green line it now to save time.

  12. I wouldn't want to be the player who wins the player of the year award this season, it seems to be the kiss of death. The last 2 winners were Sorenson and Kilkenny

  14. Partying up where at La trobe?? La trobe isnt really a party uni, the eagle bar has like 1 good party a year. Ive seen Ruon out before a few times, he hangs with Bruce, Thomas Deng and i think one of our youth players. From when i have seen them Ruon hasnt been over the top or anything like that, seems like a good lad.

  17. Seeing the tards the other week when George scored that free, they all ran to their embattled coach in a show of faith to him. As much as a kunt Muscat is, his players seem behind him. Sadly for us, I don't think any player would run to Joyce in a similar scenario. Says a hell of a lot. Going to be very difficult to be a successful coach if your players won't fight for you.

  18. This guy has slipped well under the radar and has been one of our shittest performers. He has been utterly useless this whole season. Was caught not concentrating last week against Perth where we copped a goal, he lost his man last night at the back post. He's shocking going forward and has stifled so much forward momentum during games. Even last night in the dying minute instead if whipping in a cross with his left from the wing he stops and crosses it with his right, allowing the tards defense to man up our attackers. Shocking performances on a consistent basis. If there's a young player that can play there he needs to be dropped.

  20. Nothing up front. Zero. We have no penetration. Bruno, bless him, is far from match fit, obviously. Arzani got cramped from the eyeballs down, reading his own hype. (sorry, youngster) Shit free kicks. Poor corners. We relied on the luck of the bounce to make any kind of decisive move through their pretty decent defence. That really was Melbourne Heart FC on show last night. Poor crowd would be a huge worry to the powers that be.

  21. Probably a "first" tonight as two Melbourne City "old boys" come face to face: Fernando Brandan and Nico Colazo as Temperley are at home to Gimnasia La Plata in the Argentina Primera.

  23. Ah, here we go. The silver bullet excuse. We've lost because we haven't got Malik. Rubbish. Yes, maybe we do miss Malik. But if your aspirations depend on one player to do this, and another player to do that, then you're not going to win silverware. Relying on just one player to fill a role - such as "a physical presence in midfield", taking free-kicks, taking corners, etc. etc. - then you won't get very far. For me, Joyce has shown he's a very one-dimensional manager. His job is to build a squad and a team to win the A-League, not a collection of individual players. He hasn't got what it takes to do that.

  26. I start to wonder if this might have something to do with Bozanic. The Kilkenny/Brattan pair did not work and I can see similarities with Bozanic/Brattan, it seemed like Brattan and Bozanic were in each others space - Malik is a different player and leaves Brattan to roam is focusing on his DM position more.

  27. Gave it to Bruno. Scored, even though it was a pen, and showed some effort and workrate out there tonight.

  28. I can't add to what's been posted already. One of our worst-ever performances. Lack of intensity right from the kick-off. Second to every ball. Disjointed. Slow to react, slow to move, slow to pass, and afraid to shoot. Shameful performance from all concerned and not worthy of the support that the City fans continue to give.

  29. We never once looked like winning this game. Terrible, terrible game. Joyce outcoached ... midfield useless, and our game plan was controlled by the tards, who let us have the ball in certain areas, and then easily closed us down and hit on the counter. They could’ve beaten us 4 nil to be honest. At least Bruno scored and got some serious minutes into his legs , although Arzani’s injury looks worrying. I actually think the boys pumped themselves up too much and fell flat and just couldn’t play. At least there were some highlights though. The VAR taking away the 1st goal, the brawl, watching security guards struggle to catch the pitch invader and Troisi missing an open goal at the end. Strangely not as upset at this loss as I was after Perth, probably because we were never really in it, so from the start I saw that we had no chance.

  30. Was Wazza channeling Aloisi tonight? I felt I was back in the bad old days. We were terrible. The only highlight was that bloke running on the pitch, not bad evasive skills for someone who was presumably drunk as a skunk.
