  1. Not sure where to post this, and I'm probably slow to notice, but the club have deleted all of the women's sides social media accounts, choosing to merge them with the men's one. Great move imo, should give the WLeague side more exposure on our social media channels rather than their own

  3. I hope they target Arzani, he's been able to handle increased attention so far and that approach would free up space for Bruno and Vidosic. If anything, we've been overly cautious with most of our injury issues during the City era, so if Bruno's back out there I'm sure he's ready to go.

  4. I think all this talk on which city/town should get it is flawed. Whichever teams get in you will heaps of people bitching about better candidates. Ultimately it must be merit based on results. So awarding some new start up team is just a continuation of a flawed system. The teams that should be eligible must be the NPL champions. If then they either don't satisfy clear and open criteria then the next best team gets a chance. But without promotion relegation you will get this endless debate on who should or should not be admitted. Sadly none of this will occur and if new teams get admitted (which i doubt) they will be no clear reason why.

  5. I was thinking about that walking home from the station this afternoon. What is it that is different for the men's team that has them - in many people's opinions - underperforming? Is it a greater expectation? Is it the recruitment? Is it the management of the men's squad?

  7. To be an integral part of being undefeated in finals is something that's getting overlooked. Not sure about the stats but being undefeated in 3 finals series at any level mens or womens would be pretty rare.

  10. Tasmania wouldnt get more than about 5,000 at first but the sporting landscape is crying out for a Tasmanian sporting team. The hurricanes are all they’ve really got, no rugby, no top-level basketball, still no actual Tassie AFL team. For me that gives it a strong case. If you exclude Tassie on the basis of low supporter numbers then you should exclude other bids that will take supporters from existing teams - so no 2nd Brisbane team, no South Melbourne, no Freo, no Port Adelaide, South Sydney debatable....? Plus, in contrast to the rest of the year, Tasmania is actually pretty awesome in the summer months. As I’ve previously stated, there should be zero or two NZ teams. Having one is a waste of a license.

  11. Yep fair enough, if you've heard these details from Jess best to keep them under wraps. That is interesting that she was like that but not suprising. I remember snippets of comments insinuating her behaviour. Even comments form herself gave away she was a problem. Out of curiosity did anyone else notice during the second half she made a decision to play centrally and instruct the Sydney girl who was subbe don to play on the wing? From what the commentators were saying this was not what the Sydney manager wanted.

  12. I won't go into all the gritty details but Jess gave us a bit if a run down off-air the night we interviewed her. In a nutshell, De Vanna was disruptive, openly hostile and physically aggressive in training to the rest of the girls when she was here and bears a grudge towards them for not willing to accept her unprofessional behaviour. She's a thundercunt

  19. IIRC correctly most massacres in Oz were by mentally unstable people with the exception of the Hoddle St massacre which was done by a tool. The Australia Post massacre the coroner concluded that the gunman was insane, and of course the Pt Arthur massacre was conducted by someone whose mental history rendered him close to being institutionalised. Years later at Monash a gunman was also found to be mentally unwell and never stood trial and at La Trobe where a student was stabbed (guns were much harder to come by) the perpetrator was sent to a mental institution at her majesty's leisure. So, I think @GreenSeater comment adequately reflected the situation in Australia.
