  1. If we have all players available I'll be fuckn flabbergasted if Malik is chosen over anyone come round 1.

  2. Pretty sure my heart season two pin is buried 6 inches into the hallowed turf at aami after it flew off from excessive scarf swinging following Our Lord and Saviour Jason Hoffman scoring against wsw one night. The only night i ever truly walked in a Hoffman Wonderland, albeit for only 10 min.

  5. I disagree with the MRP rulings based on outcomes rather than intent, but if there was any consistency at all Cotchin shouldn't be playing this week. The Barry Hall incident is the perfect precedent in that there does seem to be way more leniency at the MRP if finals are at stake. However I'm glad it was thrown out since it would've been a travesty to miss a GF for a hit that came about only because Cotchin went harder and lower than Shiel, and actually protected his body.

  8. I don't disagree with him, but any criticisms he has should be internal. The adult approach is that everyone has their say, a decision is made and then they all move together as one. If you can't do that you need to move on and watch where the dice fall.

  9. What a win by the Borough Boys yesterday... the best GF I have been to and to be a part of something like that were there were only two/three bays us Port fans against the Tiger Hordes was brilliant!

  10. I'm quite interested in the story of Steve Whyte, who according to that screenshot plays in the position Abwehr (i.e. the WW2 German military intelligence organisation). Is he some kind of time-travelling Nazi agent?

  13. Magical twists of luck seem to appear on the horizon of all apparent AFL Fairy tales... and "The Tiger Army" has been longest and worst written of all the Fairy Tales written by the AFL and its Associated Press Agencies. Home Finals, Brownlow Suspensions for Opponents, Finals Non Suspensions for Captains... its been a Pat Cash like finals draw and even Adelaide appear to be a boring Ivan Lendl like opponent for them to beat in an over hyped Grand Final. Also maybe the papers could report the most obvious reason why Richmond are winning games of football: That they have entire List to pick from with only five gamer Nathan Drummond unable to be selected. Anyone in AFL knows injuries determine your chances more than anything else. (It should be noted 19 AFL listed match fit Tigers players lost to The Borough yesterday).

  14. It's the world record course, so no. The challenge was more the weather. Wasn't ideal.

  15. He's referring to the ridiculous over-hyping of Pierias based on a small sample size, as was the case with Walker. Based on how highly he's touted on here you'd think he played 20-odd games last season and was solid in all of them.

  16. Of course Waz could turn out to be shit, im waiting till R3 to make my decision. Idk what deal was offered to Valkanis but why did he stay? Its like breaking up with your ex but staying with her while she gets fucked by another man, hes a cuck. Waz might turn out to be a better root or not, time will tell.

  20. Agree, but we just signed a striker when we have Cahill, Crowley? Theissen is quite good.

  21. Went down from memory ive been to the last 4 or 5 and all since the change over and this one was probably the highest attented and with ordinary weather was a good result. And so far it was the most pleasant and for no particular reason it just felt good. The free bottled water and big M and the gold coin Don Sausages wasca great touch.

  22. I'm happy to put my name to it, I was a foundation season ticket holder as were the rest of my family, we haven't renewed this season and won't until I can see some evidence of progression on all the same old issues that have been there since day 1. I'm still supporting the 3 City teams and still have a Foxtel subscription. If I can see some change I'm in. I'm just sick of ending so many weekends angry, of making the effort to get to games just to watch the same old same old

  23. The numbers are what they are because the product is mostly only available through an overpriced pay TV subscription, and given the standard of the comp, which is generally sub-par in comparison to more well known leagues. It is hard for a lot of people who love the game to pay money to support a restricted team in what they view as an inferior comp. If FFA released the shackles and let the clubs have more options to improve the product and create a team that is genuinely competitive in Asia, support would grow much quicker, rather than the current slow burn. We would see higher quality players come into the game, lifting the standard all round. If the Socceroos do not make the World Cup, and the current limitations remain in place, growth in support for the A-League may even go backward, although the Matildas are a beacon of hope at the moment.

  24. You know what though, if we put a consistently successful team on the park then we'd generate more members. Problem is that our team is shit.

  25. Wazza laying down the foundations for excuses nice and early. RD 6: Look I am confident our results will turn around. The boys are beginning to gell. RD 15: I think we are competitive, we have had unlucky lapses. I am still confident to stay in the 6 RD 27: Look this season has been a learning curve for all of us, its my first year here and I have learnt a lot. I expect to challenge for the 6 next season.

  26. But Rose couldn't pass properly, in pressure situations too many turnovers due to either bad control or bad passing.
