No worries, I guarantee it won't happen to us.6 points

So. all these so called rusted on fans are disappearing all of a sudden. The rusted on coat must have fallen of to reveal the true fair weather fan, honestly some of you people really need a reality check. This is NOT the premier league or the SreieA or the La Liga for goodness sake get behind your club and the new manager , give them all the true support they need and if things do not change then i am sure that CFG will do something about it, so stop all this doom and gloom .6 points

What someone wants to do is their business. If you don't wanna sign up then don't. But my opinion on it though is if it comes to anything with the team or manager and you don't sign up then it's a piss poor reason. If however it comes to intrinsic reasons you lose interest such as in the football itself or connection with the club then that's a completely seperate issue.3 points

So you're unhappy with the new manager so you just cancel your membership? If you love the club enough you should stick by it.3 points

That's a shame. I really believe he has the potential to test himself at the highest level of European football forums rather than go chasing the Asian money.3 points

I'm sorry, did i mention your name? i was referring to all those so called rusted on fans who have decided to bail out because they don't like the signing of the new coach but if the cap fits then wear it.2 points

Lol!! You want me to re-sign for my Preium A family membership when we can only get to 3 games at most this season???Circumstances change - work requirements changes, kids leave home and move away, major holidays are booked etc. It's life. But to be called "fair weather" when we've attended over 70 games in the last 6 years with a 200km round trip each time is insulting. I haven't seen much "fair weather" with this club. I resent being told what type of fan I am by anyone who has no idea of who I am or the effort we have put in to support this club.2 points

An example of the difference that Warren Joyce has spoken of in terms of young players. One prepared to work hard, the other not.2 points

Co me back after a weekend of no internet to this Manager appointment. It looks uninspiring but I'll give him 7 years to prove himself.2 points

Give the bloke a chance I reckon.. we were all bagging out Bruno when we read his resume coming to us.. hopefully he sorts out Bruno's attitude of last season..1 point

Whilst l can attend any day, it's definitely a race against time for Friday night football. Personally, l like the Saturday 5pm/7:30pm games or Sunday 3pm/5pm games. They need to realise we have a lot of young members and need suitable days and times to maximise attendance, but FFA does the fixtures so like they care.1 point

Glad to hear you're still following, albeit from your couch. Distance can be hard. I hope we see you back soon.1 point

Oh, come on Bela, man up laddie, man up. You're a boring old fart on here, but we need you. You can't bale out now. What are you going to do when we sweep all before us and coast into the ACL? You'll wish you had been a part of it all along. It's a life sentence, man, a life sentence. Get yourself a couple of City Blue seats high up under cover at the Southern End and be done with it. You know you really want to...1 point

Bela, please come back... (was that convincing enough?) FWIW when JVS was first signed, I thought he'd be a winner, but over time it became clear that this wasn't going to happen, and then he left on OK terms. When we signed JA, I had a feeling of dread and deep down feared that it would be an unmitigated disaster which would set us back years ... When we re-signed JVS, I just knew that it would be bad, real bad ... When Valkanis was appointed as caretaker coach it was apparent that the end of the season was doomed. With Joyce's appointment, I don't have a feeling of impending dread and my gut is telling me that it just may turn around.1 point

I have a feeling we tried Killa at CB last year and was no good. Im pretty sure he got found out and got a little jumpy around the box.1 point

That is a very strong squad. What will make it balanced is as you pointed out the 2 visa and Marquee. I'm still not sold on Troisi as our Marquee but will accept the devil you know argument but the LB and CB is crucial. At a pinch I wouldn't mind exploring the idea of Kilkenny at CB. Alongside Jakobsen that left foot right foot pairing both can hit a very good pass both great tacklers and both read it well. Its all depended on Brattan getting off the pies and finding that form he showed early last season. What is certain for me playing Brattan and Kilkenny alongside as holding mids is counter productive and Brattan in a more forward AM would encroach on Caceras or Troisi(or yet to be signed South American #10 Marquee). If Kilkenny at CB works and Brattan finds form as a quality #6 then that Visa can be used futher forward. It's a big If, I know. What is certain for the first time in our history we are not going to bring in more than half our starting XI in one go. We have a very very good core squad that just needs 2 to 3 positions filled and very good depth with players 12 to 16 able to start when required.1 point

I just went though all the seating sections to look at availability for next season - there are plenty of seats available everywhere. Clearly plenty of people have opted not to renew at this stage anyway. I really think they've just over-stepped the mark in pricing.1 point

The signing of Roberts was an unconfirmed rumour back on 11th May. Mentioned on Page 201 of the "Transfer Talk, Rumours and Speculation" thread. I'm not aware of any announcement from City.1 point

Interesting to compare him to Amini. Amini goes to Dortmund, can't get a game in their U23s. Gets some shit from back here, basically just says "get real, it's a bloody high standard, will take time". Stays, after A YEAR, eventually breaks in to the U23s (so not exactly the firsts), keeps at it, then gets a transfer to the Danish League, now playing regularly and hey presto in the Socceroos squad. Mauk plays half a game in the firsts, gets told he needs to work on his weaknesses, sulks and gets out as soon as he can back to the A League. Mauk probably thinks Amini "is lucky"1 point

Hong Kong I think he said. Or Singapore. One of those Asian countries where people who have ambitions beyond constantly moaning on a football forum go.1 point
