See I see Caceras as the next potential. They guy has some serious talent. Think back to all the games where he's been given the role of creative playmaker and taken responsibility he's shown a Mooyesque type of quality. He's also of similar age to when Mooy came over to us. Problem is he's not being given enough game time to continue plying his trade. Kamau skill level needs to be another 2 levels above where he is now and he needs to be able to finish as well if he's going to do anything with his football, given his size and stature. The guys nearly 23 and he's got the body of a 13 year old boy.

Are you really surprised? I'm not. I would say that football in Australia has stagnated over the past couple of seasons. We've had our disappointments as City supporters, and IMO the general public has cottoned on to a series of managerial mistakes and non-decisions by FFA and doesn't know in what direction the game is heading, and the commercial channels don't see a big market for the present product.

Although I dislike the running of FFA, I think it's got more to do with the league being run by Foxtel. As I think Tes(?) mentioned, there's even Foxtel people in the tunnel to tell players when to head out etc. In terms of TV deals, time slots and player/team coverage I think there needs to be greater competition to Foxtel, but unfortunately there is none.

Ok maybe i was a little harsh on the bloke and yes he's still young, but atm how he is anywhere near the starting 11 over Fitzy is mind boggling to say the least. I think that was just my frustration over time of watching him blunder a number of chances time after time after time. IMHO he needs to come off the bench and be an impact sub for the remainder of the season and nothing more.

Regarding Williams, not sure why people are so impressed by his performances, the Hungarian league is pretty bad TBH, and he was never horrible in the A-League. He would still be a decent player on the right wage, problem was he would have been on a lot more than his ability should dictate which you cant have in a salary capped league. Good to see Babalj making a come back of sorts, he was a very talented player for his age back in the Heart days but Red Star is a horrible club to move to as the quality of their squad is really high compared to their league, so its hard to break into the team and even if you do youre not playing against particularly good opposition. Then of course he had a lot of injury problems as well.

Yes because once upon a game it worked to bring Fitzy on as an impact sub now we need to do this every game. Even though Kamau hasn't delivered anywhere near what Fitzy has. There's a clear pattern of stupidity amongst the coaching staff. Best keeper in Sorensen. Bench. Best player for 2 months running in Fitzy. Bench. Caceras best creative mid in the last 2 months. Bench.

Agreed. I think everyone circle jerks a bit over his pace, but jesus his final ball is terrible. He can't shoot, or cross for shit and yet he still starts over fitzy which puzzles me.
