  2. It's basically like a fast Day Z. Actually it's a pretty good comparison to say it's a mix between Day-Z and Squad. I havent played h1z1 but apparently thats pretty bad. The issue for me is it's just nothing to do once you win once or twice, like it feels pointless. It probably doesnt help that I got two wins on my 2nd day playing, maybe the desire to get a W on the board is what keeps people playing as it probably takes a while for most people (luckily I have a pretty experienced player in my crew). The looting aspect takes up your first 10 minutes if you dont die straight away and then its basically a boring mid game and then the last 5 minutes is just a shooter. It feels like redundant looting, a pointless boring middle period, and then a sub par shooter at the end. It either needs to be even faster to at least get rid of the slow bit in the middle of the game, or longer so there is a bigger looting aspect. I dont know, maybe when they add more maps and more variety of loot it will be better, but right now its basically spawn, try land in good location, loot the same shit every game of a helmet, backpack, armor, two rifles, bullets, medical supplies, and then slowly make your way in to the minimising map size until its small enough for it to end in a battle. I would still say Rust is the best game I have played in the 'survival games' category, but that is too slow and only good with a solid group so I understand why people are trying to make these faster games but it's just not working.

  3. Been poor because he has had FA service this season. If you look at the top scorers, they've had great service this season.

  4. If he didnt have the season he had last year then we all would have said he has been a huge success this year.

  6. Yeah we would have to learn how to move the ball quickly again and reorganise quickly, something that Roy might not have enough time to teach.

  7. IMO he will be released. Unsure whether Kuzi will be as well. We already have a third ACL (Brandan - and the club has so far been very coy over the precise nature of his injury and his likely return to football) and no club can afford to have three players signed to the seniors who are injured in this way unless we have ready made injury replacements lined up and approved by FFA. In the A-League there is, unfortunately, just no room to carry injured players.

  8. True but a rapid counter attack is just not the City way, the first ball will be backwards or a winger will carry the ball forward and then pass back to a midfielder allowing the Perth defence to arrange themselves into 2 lines of 4.

  9. I agree with you. They're either benched or more likely dumped altogether to the NYL/NPL. Arzani is a perfect example. U-16 and U-17 representative for Australia, spent 2 weeks with the EDS in Manchester before signing for our senior squad and yet can hardly get on the pitch even when the same old cattle are letting us down. http://www.melbournecityfc.com.au/article/youth-in-focus-daniel-arzani/bjlywmo7zxv7124t8vkna2q8q

  10. Just with Tongyik, and this applies to our best younger players we have, they're not given enough game time to find their feet. Make a mistake or have a bad game and they're benched. Then they're brought in to prove themselves again down the track. It's really poor management of our better players. It's no wonder we have had the most varied starting eleven in the league. Another example is a guy like Arzani. Should be brought off the bench every opportune moment. Reality is he's had barely any game time.

  11. TTIM: Metro. Fucking. Trains. Every second day my train is late anywhere between 5-10 minutes which fucks my connecting bus route. I got fed up and decided to take a photo with my phone to start documenting it so I could write up letter asking for a refund for my 3 month myki pass. To my surprise I couldn't take a photo of the electronic timetable due to a film on the glass casing which clouds against the whole board being visible in a single photo. (conveniently "scheduled time" and "arrival time" couldn't be taken in 1 photo.) So I decide to record it instead and tilted the camera back and forth so I could capture all angles at once instead of taking 5 photos. I was there for 30 seconds max when some peanut women gets on the pa system telling me to stop. I could only faintly heard but I assumed it was just "stop taking photos" etc. Anyway I jumped on the next (late) train and googled what the fuss was about and apparently no photography on metro station platforms because of "safety reasons"... riiiiight because I was at greater risk than the retarded 17 year old girls I see every fucking friday night take 35 selfies within a meter of the tracks after a fruity lexia goon binge. Get fucked you fucking shitty Mao communist railway system! They don't want one cunt jewing them over for $400 bucks coz they know once one gets their hard earned back and spreads the word they'll be up for more.

  14. In the 80s when I was just getting a global understanding of the game the Serie A was the bomb. From memory sbs ran a weekly 1hour show of just the Serie A. That used to be taped religiously. Some of the players that used to play in the day. Wow. And thinking back I reackon they had a foreign player rule also 2 or 3 so teams really only brought in the best of best.

  17. I just did the survey. While the first question allowed me to give my opinion of our 'beautiful football' I thought the rest of the questions were a sign of CFG not willing to budge on their philosophy. Questions like do you feel the team uses the full width of the pitch to attack? Well yeh you'd give that a rating of 9 out of 10 becasue that's only way we attack. Or another one like does the team press high to regain possession of the ball. Again yeh you'd rate that highly but it's precisely this reason why we are coping goals. Problem is the club would look at these ratings as a good thing while I only see them as an ineffective way of playing football.
