Tongyik has all the raw ingredients necessary to become a good player. What he needs is a manger and an experienced defender alongside him to learn him how to be a good efender.5 points

Completely forgot about the game, haven't watched a minute, not interested, fold the club.4 points

You can tell the diiference between a good manger and a hopeless one by watching this game. Sydney are well organised and play the percentages, whilst we just put 11 players on the pitch and hope they gel!!4 points

So Bouzanis and Muscat get rewarded for their failings by getting selected. It isn't any surprise the team has been so poor when you bring back players who were out through their own fault! How can Brattan get picked week after week when he is one of the worst players in the league. It seems Valkanis has done the impossible and made JVS look a decent manager!4 points

Well that was better than I expected, I was expecting 4-0. All the usual problems, season after season, little real progression. Expecting 3 more loses, not sure I'll bother to drive to Melbourne next week, i don't care about this team or this franchise Positives: nil Negatives: see comments from every other game3 points

Foundation member. Club volunteer. Yarraside from day one. Etc etc etc etc. If this club don't sign for a world class coach next season i am done. Not just "i won't be renewing my membership" done. I mean done. Like vote out in the "in or out" poll way.2 points

tbf it was a nice goal, the first was horrible though. We have gone to water after the break2 points

Put Caceres on . We need to play football. Keep and distribute ball properly. Tim cnt do that.2 points

I'm presuming that the point of hiring one of JVS's former coaches to replace him for the rest of the season was for Valkanis then to deliberately finish the job with a lower win ratio than JVS, thus allowing the orange one to feel better about being the worst manager in A-League history.2 points

Honestly, it would have been more fun watching Mariners this season. No expectations, a team of kids, bags of passion, and some unexpected victories. I can live with no success, as long as there is passion, belief and hope.1 point

It's the same every game, the opposition coach adjusts during the break. We don't1 point

But why. Why oh why. Please someone explain to me this logic. Since his appointment it has been pretty clear he won't be next season so why keep him at all. Just lacking any logic.1 point

He was only signed for members he sure doesn't fit the style and even with him we don't have fans. We need a guest marquee to dominate not sit there and touch it once in 90mins1 point

Given the quality of the opposition, where we are playing and the disruption to our starting 11, i think we've been excellent so far.1 point

If we keep our CBs and full backs deep we will be fine.... And maybe our midfield deep we will be fine.... And maybe our strikers deep also we will be fine. Can our bench sit on the goal line? If so we will be hard to beat. All of the above 1-0 loss and solid defensive game to take us into the last 2 games.1 point

They tended to focus on Jako in the training video with the 3 youth signings for some fucking reason. It's like they're telling us it's purely selection choice1 point

Would trade Brattan, Malik, Bouzanis and Timmys fucking chooks for this guy to be back.1 point

Yeah, there's definitely that aspect. There's also the other issue that Sorensen didn't actually do anything wrong to find himself on the bench in the first place. He was red carded and suspended for covering for a teammate's blunder, sacrificing himself for the good of the team and helping to preserve the win (Bouzanis was also excellent when he came on in Round 1, it must be said). So sure, City could have kept Bouzanis in favour of Sorensen, either to give him a few games of experience (say, up to six, spread over the course of the season), or they could have kept him in the starting position, until he had a howler of a game. He's had a few of those, yet he remained, with Sorensen staying in the apparent doghouse, for God knows what reason. I can't remember a game this season where I've gone away thinking "Gee, it's lucky we had Bouzanis between the sticks, rather than Sorensen." And that's because Sorensen is simply a better keeper and because he's also the natural leader that we need to marshal our inexperienced and limited defenders. It's just been a baffling decision to keep him on the bench, getting splinters, when there was no good reason for it. You make a decision for the future when you're anchored to the bottom of the table and going nowhere fast, not when you should be competing for premierships/championships.1 point
