  1. Sorry for posting this hear but pushing every avenue i possibly can. If your in the Melbourne City Fans Page on FB, you'll be probably aware that my wife is shaving her head for the worlds greatest shave this Saturday. And in support of my amazing wife, i was also planning to shave my head, but that really isn't much of a sacrifice is it? So hears the deal. If we can get her to $2K (which is only $500 away), I will go full MARIO BALOTELLI!!! Bleach and All So if you're wanting the Maltese Messi to go Super Mario, please give generously. anything would be great guys!!! https://secure.leukaemiafoundation.org.au/registrant/FundraisingPage.aspx?RegistrationID=656102

  4. Not really shaved is it. My understanding of shaved is baldy. That's just a cheap haircut.

  5. Probably already said this because it's something i have been moaning about since i moved to Melbourne 13 years ago, but... TTIM: the layout of Melbourne trains. It's like they have deliberately been designed to bottle neck at the doors. It's as if they have gone out of their way to make sure hardly anyone can fit inside the carriages

  6. Sitting in a van with a Vuvuzela, both the driver and my dad were getting money out at an atm. A guy leans in my window and ask if he can have a blow on the Vuvuzela, after I declined he grabbed my wrist and tried to yank it through the window. Honestly over there (particularly Soweto) , it's like being in a Mario game with the ghosts. When you arnt looking they get closer, the moment you turn around and make eye contact, they'll suddenly walk the opposite way.

  7. Not football but rugby league (hey football when I grew up) Mendi Muruks vs Wabag Mioks in Minj, Western Highlands, PNG (no home games in the PNG highlands) Posted about it somewhere before. Wild experience. Only white man in the ground. Fortunately it pissed down during the match which meant although I was soaked to the bone the crowd stayed calm enough to avoid the use of tear gas.

  9. Exactly. For the record, Scott also suggested there may be a third kit in season 18-19 which would have Heart relevance, I'm assuming that'll be charcoal.

  10. Believe me even in the Inner City it can suck with having no seat when you are tired, there are more than a couple of tram route which at their worst that take twenty minutes to do a few blocks on some of the main drags. Also anyone else noticed how a large part of the Tram Network seems to of been set up to get kids from the Leafy South Eastern Suburbs to Melbourne University?

  11. Plus its been reported start of the season that the agreement was made about us changing to 'City' blue as a home kit http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/football/melbourne-city-kit-change-will-mirror-manchester-citys-blue/news-story/8d9377e6afa872c314a7b6d26b4cb397 Problem some have is that reports and information that confirms existing opinions and biases are taken as gospel truth and anything that issnt is either the reporter is rubbish or the person that info has been gathered from cant be trusted

  14. Have you made a post in the last 12 months here that isn't either pissy or negative for the sake of it? I don't know what the FFA rules are but I've got no reason to not take Scott at face value, especially given my dealings with him during my involvement with the frg/terrace. His exact wording was that "both City and Heart fans will have something to be pleased about with the next set of kits" and that he'd "signed off the next two seasons worth" and that the away had a red and white scheme. I don't take the minutes, I simply turn up on behalf of the Melburnians here and there, so I can't help you there.

  15. Also some of the new trams that have bugger all actual seats in them, and those that are there can barely seat two people.

  20. It was understandable after the 2012/13 season, 0 away wins. Well, 1 if you count the Round 1 derby win at Etihad. Next season the breakthrough happened Round 19 against the Nux 5-0, Willo hat trick along with that sexy Bronze In form FIFA card. Then not another away win for the rest of the season. Next season under city, using the stripes as the away tripled our away win record . Either way I still love it

  23. It's what I have observed. Brattan doesn't move the ball quickly enough IMO. Caceras on the other hand is a lot quicker with his thinking that results in faster midfield to shot opportunity transition. Brattan tends to hold possession as a priority where Caceres creates and links an attacking move as a priority.

  24. Just about every time I see Chelsea we lose. I also went to the Den away after getting off the flight to London with Charlton (cousin had a spare ticket) was eye opening.

  28. What a polite way of saying "since Round 2" or "for the last 20 rounds."

  29. Well, it's all coming together now as the NPL clubs join the battle lines behind the A-League clubs, and FFA has only itself to blame. It has continually changed its position, timetables and priorities with just about everything to do with the game, and resisted all requests and opportunities for reform. The election of Stephen Lowy - dare I call him "Stephen Nepotism"? - was a disaster. The entry of City Football Group into the A-League club ownership ranks was always going to eventually break FFA. Once you had an owner with an asset backing that could buy-and-sell FFA many times over without even noticing the transactions on its bottom line then change was inevitable. It's now a matter of "how soon" rather than "if."
