  1. Am I the only one who saw Djubic clutter his elbow / arm into Brandan's face during the immediate lead up to the scuffle? Contact was minimal but imo contact is contact - the fact he rolls around after doesn't change anything. I find the whole debate a little irritating. In part because Brandan's actions are taking away from other issues in the game (ie how Warren stayed on after his deliberate handball for the second pen) and the actions are now negatively influencing how refs adjudicating our games (of which Brandan does need to take responsibility). More than anything though, thugs like Warren, Djubic, Valeri, Broxham (to name a few) can go around man handling others, commit blatant dirty fouls (ie body checks) that break up play and yet nothing is done nor is there any outrage. And yet people complain about Brandan as if he is worse than when Muscat snaps a blokes leg.

  2. Next step to slowly be rid of the salary cap is to make all Visa players exempt (or something like 5 salary cap exempt spots) and then allow transfers between A league clubs.

  3. A perfect team player that made the ultimate sacrifice. A 'do whatever you can for the benefit of the team' type attitude is what wins you games, and the polar opposite of the selfish c#nt Harry that poisoned the team and cost us a final last season. Brandan is my hero.

  4. I actually don't mind Nando's theatrics. It draws attention to the fact he is getting a lot of unfair tackles out there on the field.

  6. Can see this not ending well. Should only be goal line decisions. Just fix the problem by hiring refs that know what to do.

  7. But a couple fuckups and your quickly replaced. Then your cooked, not like you can slot into left back for a couple seasons.

  8. This issnt going to end well. People will still bitch about decisions and then for every little thing want the VAR checked. Look what happend at the club world cup. It was ridiculous.

  9. Fucking stupid decision. Along with everything else this season with City, will only add to my unhappiness with the way my beloved game of football is going.

  12. TTDIM; how triggered the left is over Milo's book deal. It's actually too easy for him to troll these morons now.

  13. we've under-performed against Central Coast way too many times for me to be totally confident about this one

  14. To be fair sorenson didn't keep too many clean sheets either, and Bouzanis did keep 2 clean sheets in semi and final of the cup

  15. Really? I love Brandan's football but I am disgusted that whatever foul he may have incurred to then: 1. React as though there was a hit to the face (which there wasn't) and 2. To lash out with your boots Is unacceptable.

  16. I'm never going to condone any City player reacting to a kick in the shin as if he was laid out by a punch in the face. It's South American theatrical bullshit. I'll check your reactions next time Victory beat us with an undeserved shameless dive penalty

  17. That's why it's in this thread jw. A sense of entitlement is only a small part of it. My main point is the majority of people are relatively comfortable in their own little world. The life of a top athlete requires a dedication and commitment from a young age that most people wouldn't ever experience in their entire life. It requires putting the body through extreme conditions day in day out. It requires a desire and mental dedication so great, something majority of people wouldn't ever experience in their lives. This isn't to say people in their own right don't work hard in their given field of work. However the majority of people would be too lazy to want to go through the rigours of what a top level athlete has gone through. It's so much easier (and I use that word loosely) to study and get a good job and earn a nice comfortable living. In the most positive sense that's the consequence of living in a western culture. And there absolutely nothing wrong with that.

  20. If this turns out to be true (which we are only relying on previous conversations) it's a complete balls up and another failure. Failure in the sense that we have wasted 10 or so games or a third of season on a valuable visa spot. Sure our other visas have been fully productive and are our better players (which they should be ) but to go into the season with the intention of playing Sorensen for a couple games only is dumbfounding. If the decision was made that Sorensen didn't suit the high press structure that should have been made in the off season not round 3. Whatever has occurred to make this situation is totally weird.

  22. He sacrificed himself for the team and thought he had won the game for us. Nothing wrong with his antics.
