  1. ROFL at the comment about Rogers being impressed by Aloisi and the way he's gone about his coaching career.

  2. !. Well I don't know I agree with your first point. On the one CFG gets promoters who want to throw money at them-and everyone likes more money no matter how much they have-plus a chance for world wide exposure to their brand 9 these games aginst Madrid and Roma will go all over the world) versus pissing off a handful of Melbourne City fans? I seriously can't blame them. Besides they've gone some way to appease fans by televising the game against Melb City. We're a small cog in a big machine. 2. Communication could have been a lot better, this is true. And if you ask them why, I have feeling it will be the on field product quality of the local is not up to scratch. One may say about how little comparatively A-League players get paid, but make no mistake, fans are paying top dollar to watch bottom of the wrung full pro football. Off the top of my head it was about $10-$15 bucks more to watch Man City play compared to Melb City. Aguerro instead of Josh Kennedy? i'd pay that difference.

  3. "Brattan is our best passer of the ball so I need him higher up the pitch." - Brisbane Roar coach John Aloisi set to change the midfielder's role. So it begins.

  7. I'd suggest that more active and other reserved seating categories will become available after today when all those that haven't renewed yet have their seats thrown open to the public.

  8. I'm empty and cold. Always felt this cunt would turn the corner and pull a Stephen Bradbury on us then go HAM for several seasons, constantly knocking back moves to play Champions League football to pay back the club's loyalty, before retiring in front of a packed MCG after the post season testimonial against a then defunct central coast mariners best XI.

  9. I can't remember if I had any, probably best to ask your doctor. Take plenty of Imodium with you. Given all the food cooked in water, you might get the runs so make sure you have some tablets available don't want to scare you off, since it's always good to and you definitely want to try local stuff. Just got to be a little careful The street food was awesome, and try a Brazilian BBQ (particularly if you never have) I found an equivalent of seven11 near where I was that sold pints of beer in cans. that will help prevent being served unclean water

  10. Seriously, I saw some of Aloisi's touches on Brisbane tonight. Mainly the lofted, long diagonal ball to the wings...that sailed over the touch line. Fortunately for them, he hasn't had enough time to coach out of them the one touch passing, the movement off the ball, the passing on the deck. Give him time.

  12. Would like to wish The Hoff all the best. The guy always gave 100% on the ground and by all reports at training. I gathrr he actually did have talent but perhaps lacked the self belief. Anyway for whatever reason his performances across the field put him in the journeyman category. good luck at the jets Hoff. Hope you get the game time you are chasing.

  13. Dont worry, Brisbane have been good for a few years now. It will take JA at least a couple of months to beat it out of them. No one is that good

  15. in terms of Hoffman, i find the transfer rather bitter sweet. bitter because after all the time, effort and chances, Hoffman at least finally seemed somewhat serviceable as a backup full back. wouldn't have ever been a star, but looked like one of those players who would rack up appearances since he was better than the vast majority in the state league but not quite good enough to ever be a regular starter in the A League. to see him go makes me wonder what the fuck the club was doing by investing so much to just let it go after a few defensive signings two seasons on from making Hoffman a defender (he was a fucking forward to start with FFS) it's a rather sweet though too because there is good reason he copped the flack on the forums. enough said. so yeah, feel like a little bit of me has died club wise, but ultimately happy to see Hoffman moving on to bigger and better things for both parties.

  16. Not yet. Mind you where is his long balls to midgets policy? also worth noting if Aloisi does have a strong season I will need to be on a self harm watch.

  17. Isn't bleacher report just written by random people like us and not real journalists? So I'd take that lineup with a pinch of salt.

  19. One thing you can be sure of is if the kids are good enough they will be played. may not see them come through our own academy but already seeing JVS collect some of the best youth in the country kuzmamovski, Melling and chapman in the past two seasons already. The link to manchester will be huge in this. Any kid with the ability has pretty quickly found themselves in the first team regularly under JVS. Back on topic though; regardless of how irrational it is a small part of me died inside this morning reading that Hoff was released. Clearly a good decision but still hate it. Had the same feelings around Carlton Cole and Marlon Harewood when they were released by West Ham.

  20. CBF going through it all again KK, but the points are... - CFG should not have agreed to the ICC conditions; - Latrobe HQ has been less than open about those conditions until they were forced to disclose them bit by bit on social media.

  25. I did speak to someone at the club about it in passing so wasn't on the record as such but it seemed they know how bad the miscommunication was with all of this. Do agree 100% would be great at a packed out AAMI park.

  26. Hopefully this sends a strong message to CFG that the next time the 2 teams play in Australia it's played at a sold out AAMI. Regardless of contracts.

  27. Test will be when they have to win. If they do and don't choke then that's very unheart like. I actually am hoping they do make the playoffs and become a really good team. I have been taking more of an interest of late.

  28. IMO he didn't do a lot on the pitch, but the rumoured $400,000 we paid Duff was worth it if he can recommend all our deadwood to other clubs.
